Three great ridges in The Magillycuddies Reeks
« on: 14:12:55, 14/05/16 »
O0 Just to prove that the sun does shine occasionally in the southwest of Ireland. Wonderful weather and great scrambling and a VDiff rock climb thrown in for good measure. Friday the 13th was a good day  8) http://howlingmist.blogspot.ie/2016/05/the-three-ridge-route-on-reeks.html
I hope you enjoy,

Howling Ridge is my favourite climb in Ireland. Excellent photos, place is stunning.
”It’s impossible” said pride. “It’s risky” said experience. “It’s pointless” said reason. “Give it a try” whispered the heart......

Excellent Stephen O0

Those ridges look fantastic.

Are these generally climbers routes or ok for scramblers (Grade 1-2 etc).
If they don't like you going out, they'll love you coming in!

Hi Domathome Two of the ridges are open for any reasonable scrambler but I would say stay away from Howling Ridge as it is graded at VDiff so rock climbing experience would be a good idea first.
