Sheepbone Rake
« on: 11:31:17, 24/06/16 »
As an accomplished fell walker, how easy is it to find and get on Sheepbone Rake? Looks fairly straightforward, just wondered if there were any bits I should look out for

Dave, I was looking down on SR just last week and thinking...
(a), it looked fairly easy to locate and pretty straightforward, but
(b), very badly eroded and a gruelling slog up scree.

I wouldn't mind giving it a shot though

My thoughts as well - looks like Fisher's Wifes Rake if you've done that?

Have been climbing on Sheepbone Buttress and used the rake for descent can't remember anything difficult.

Also used Fishers wifes Rake to descend from Clough Head with a group its just a steep path.

yes, as MWM says - I found Fisher's Wife's Rake more of a rough path through scree. Sheepbone Rake looks far steeper, though it could have been the angle I was looking from.
