A bit late in the year but Decathlon are selling a very lightweight sun/running 'baseball cap' with a rear 'curtain' to keep the sun off my neck. 2.99

My 2.99 running cap with its own 'neck curtain' to keep the sun off my ears and neck has proved itself to be brilliant, Its been very hot and humid over the past few days, so as far as I'm concerned its paid for itself already. What I'm looking for now is a waterproof one, I'm sure that such a hat would be very useful under a waterproof jacket hood in the winter months.

I recently got a cap with removable neck curtain. However it has a removable face curtain also, with mesh across the eye slot. Useful at the moment as a face mask, I suppose. Even though designed for midge protection.

Mrs Jimbob has threatened me with severe evil stares if I dare go out of the house wearing it. She says I can wear it if over ten miles from home and 5 miles away from her.
I reckon she doesn't really like it much.

Too little, too late, too bad......

My wife thinks the same about my midge 'over my hat' mesh, it certainly makes her laugh! It reminds her of the film 'The Quartermass Experiment!'

I got one of those for the Great Glen Way, it was invaluable. I got some for the grand bairns when they had a Highland holiday. But they look, as you say like something out of Quartermas or a badly dressed beekeeper.
