Not sure what jacket that is in your link but I have one that looks very similar (also Craghoppers).  I wouldn't use it for hill walking - I would say it's more of a casual jacket with a water resistant finish - good for dog walking or short local walks..  I paid 25 for mine a couple of years ago so it may not be the same (either that or it's an impressive Black Friday mark up  :D  )

I think this is the jacket in question https://www.craghoppers.com/corran-gore-tex-jacket-mountain-green/

It can't be all that bad as their advert says it won Tester's Choice in Country Walking Magazine March 2019. Whether you believe the 175 - 190 RRP is another matter!  ;D

Men's version Corran colour options https://www.craghoppers.com/search/?q=corran
Women's version Isobel colour options https://www.craghoppers.com/search/?q=isobel

YouTube video from Go Outdoors showing both jackets here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRQYqcldzmg

Up to 10% cashback available on Craghoppers purchases via TopCashback (offer ends tomorrow)

For anyone considering buying (assuming both size and colour are in stock at both locations) the cheapest option would be to log on to Go Outdoors via TopCashback and request a price match against Craghoppers to get 10% off Craghoppers price plus TopCashback are offering 8% cashback on online purchases at Go Outdoors.

Mountain Equipment Lhotse GoreTex pro jacket available for 259 from Nevisport right now, quite a discount on the full price of 370.
Mine is now into it's 5th winter of heavy use - a superb mountain jacket.

Apparently, according to the email I got yesterday, GoOutdoors in Stockport are closing down for a big refurbishment and they're having a closing down sale. Wether there will be any bargins to be had is anyone's guess

The Millets in Altrincham is closing down and reopening as a GoOutdoors.

30% off everything but they don't have that much unless you want a Peter Storm fleece.

Interested to see how the product line will change when it reopens.

As are Blacks and Tiso.

Their main competitors being Sports Direct which also hosts quite a few other brands and companies.

Also two of the most successful, currently, High Street retailers.

Your choice to spend whatever you want elsewhere but to be frank there's not that many true independant left. Many usually stock brands belonging to the two groups.

There's a seller on ebay called the_action_sport_warehouse who are selling lots of mainly lowa boots very cheap. I put a 60 offer in for some lowa renegades which were priced at 80.
It was accepted and I did wonder whether it was dodgy, but the sellers reviews were good.
They arrived quickly and are perfect and identical to my current pair aside the colour. The only things which are out of place is that the box says "sample" on it and the panels which are normally suede are nubuck like the rest of the boots(which is better actually).

The question is should I be bothered by the sample issue or just be happy I got a pair of renegades for 60 quid. It was not stated anywhere in the description that they were a sample pair.

There are other renegades still for sale which are specifically labelled as 2019 and are slightly more expensive so mine may be older. Looking at the photo it seems they are also purely nubuck.

If you are happy with the product which was delivered then I wouldn't worry about it and just be happy that you got a pair of renegades for 60.

I have used and recommended that eBay seller before when they were selling Lowa Stirling and Munro boots at extremely good prices without any problems.

As far as I know they are official importers of Lowa products and are listed under the UK on Lowa website as TKC Sales Ltd at the same address here https://www.lowa.de/en/about-lowa/lowa-worldwide.html

Alpkit have a "spacemaker" sale on at the moment.  Amongst other things, their Balance waterproof jacket is only 139.99.

Merrell boots and walking shoes on sale again in Boyes 65.00 for those of you who like them. Sketchers also half price, I gave some of those as they are great to change into for the evenings, so light yet so comfy.

P. S. Never, ever, say you like that shop by name and out loud in company, you get very, very strange looks and cold shoulders.

Would that not be contingent on your age and gender?

Just saying, that's all. Someone I, erhem, know said that out loud this morning ,  hence the warning. That someone was not a youngster of any variety.😩
