South West Coast Path TV Series
« on: 10:43:45, 24/08/16 »
For those interested in the SWCP there is a new 5-part series starting tonight at 7.30 on BBC1.  (This is only being shown in the South-West region).

Yes, definitely tonight.  I believe you are in the east of Somerset?  Perhaps you are just outside the south-west area and get your TV from the southern region.

Yes, you're probably right. I think we get to choose on our tv but tend to get our news etc from Bristol. Never mind. I guess it will appear on i player some time. Hope you enjoyed it.

Yes, it was quite good.  He is missing out big chunks of it though, but I suppose they can't cover all of it in five half-hour programmes.  He did cheat by going up from Lynmouth on the cliff railway!

You're probably West like us, I forgot we get West on TV although everywhere else are classed as SW. But I've just found out it's on iPlLayer (and will be on BBC2 later in the year). http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07qb61p

Thanks for that. It will give us non SW residents a chance to view.

Does anyone know if BBC SW is on the Sky+ box? Not sure I've got the patience to wade through all the 100s of channels looking for it. Think I'll wait till it's on BBC2.

We watched on iPlayer last night. I thought there'd be more actual coastal path involved but enjoyed it anyway.

Perfect timing for me as I spent a couple of days in S Devon this week and started to acquaint myself with some short stretches of the SWCP.
