Hi All, newbie here...
Been a keen walker in Cotswolds & Brecon Beacons for a few years.
I used to rely on lfto for gear reviews and enjoyed the forums on there too. However for whatever reason I haven't felt the need to visit the site for a few years...then went back on last week - and boy what a difference!
No forums...no easy to read gear reviews (i.e. star rated kit by lfto and users). Some kit reviewed in Trail & CW mags is not even mentioned on lfto site!
Well, I guess this is the place to be for walk chat, but what about independent gear reviews?
I'm looking for a wind proof soft shell and a an insulated jacket....got my beady eye on a couple of Berghaus products - the Pordoi and the Popena (both reviewed in November's CW mag) but thanks for any other suggestions.
