A Viewranger question (or two!)
« on: 02:11:10, 19/03/17 »
I've installed Viewranger on my Motorola phone and it works fine (so far!)  However, I downloaded two OS tiles (free samples) which also work well but I wish I'd have downloaded different ones. I seem to recall reading that you can 'surrender' tiles and load different ones instead. Is that right? If so, how? I can unload the tiles from my phone but can only load those two back on, no others.
Second question is that if I buy a set of tiles, do they last forever or do I have to pay yearly to keep them?

Dont know the answer to your first question but with regards to your second maps or tiles are one off payments not subject to an annual fee

I've found the previous reference. It appears I'm mixing it up with MyTrails.  Now I need to decide which is better!

I like the idea of selling unwanted map tiles back to them, however I do think ViewRanger has particularly good value for their OS bundle maps.  For example, being able to get all the UK national park mapping for £10.
