Keep thinking about that ZZ Top track 'woke up to wood', well I keep waking up to rain and mist, not quite as exciting!!!!!!

T'other day t'was same old, same old forecast, said it was gonna fair up later, I woke to rain as usual. Set off east, drove to my start point an'twas still raining.  I drove further east and guess what!!!!!

Decided to grasp the nettle and do Mount Keen the most easterly Munro and yes it was still just raining  when I got there, so I set off anyhow. The rain soon stopped BUT the wind whipped up to 35/40 mph bringing in snow squalls.

BUT

It was a great day, wild weather, completely new area, fantastic new hill to climb and YES there were no slugs on my summit when I got there.

Went down Glen Etive to do the Ben Starav group of hills, here is a photo of Ben Cruachan (1126m) and Stob Diamh (998m) from my camp site. Later in the year this would be a midgy hellhole BUT tonight its a perfect evening.

Normal service resumed bext morning as I wake up to low mist suprisingly no rain, here is a shot of the summit of Ben Starav (1078m) I then went onto do Beinn nan Aighenan (952m) and Glas Beinn Mhor (997m) I won't post photos cos they look just the same as Ben Starav.

Suprisingly there were no slugs on my summit(s) today.
