I had my mind on doing Fisher's Wife's Rake for awhile and knocked it out despite having a cold on the first full day of my Easter trip to Keswick:

Nice write up, Gwfurn!  O0  Sounds like a challenging walk in several ways but you got some cracking views despite the variability of the weather.  :)

that's a Great report and pictures, thanks for sharing;  

 I did almost the same walk as this last year, but in reverse. I was toying with descending by the rake, but in the end after reaching Clough head I just carried on straight over as to enjoy the view to Blencathra for longer.
Having now seen your picture looking down the rake, I'm so glad I carried on! - I will NEVER be going that way.  :o
