You can wildcamp at Bridge of Orchy or Inveroran.

I find it easier though if you finish the day at Bridge Of Orchy, get a bus or train back to Tyndrum and stay in a camping cabin at the Bytheway site.

Then get the 8am train or 9am bus next day back to Bridge of Orchy.

Thank you,
I'll go on my walk the next morning to Kingshouse, so think the campsite is the best, do the have any names.
Do you know if it is possible to eat or buy in there?
Kind regards
Bente

There is a wild camping spot at the Bridge of Orchy. Just over the bridge next to the river. The WHW walks right past it. The hotel there is a pub. So food. Also there are few wild camping spots on the walk into Bridge of Orchy right next to the Way.
Follow me on my hikes and watch old hikes I have completed.

However it is right beside the river and was swarming in midges when I was there - not for long as I stayed in the bunkhouse before it closed!

It depends when you go, the original poster didn't say when they were going. I camped in May without Midges.

There's always the bunkhouse at the railway station if they fancy slumming it.

I stayed there on 15 May 2008, just shows you can never tell presumably it depends upon the weather/wind.

It's Scotland, expect any weather  :D

I did it in May one year, it was cold and wet most of the 5 days. I did it the following May and got sunburnt and it was sunny nearly all the time. You just can't plan it.

As you probably know you can wild camp just about anywhere in Scotland. Just move off the Way a little and you'll find plenty of excellent places to camp. Just past the Inveroran Hotel there is a popular camping spot next to the river by the bridge. Have fun!
