TR What we got up to in Dec 16
« on: 19:44:19, 16/11/17 »
From a wild camp on Helm Crag. From Town Head we walked up Greenburn and visited Gibson Knott then met our friend, Bonkers Old Biddy, near Helm Crag.

Town Head Hen Playground was busy today

Beefy and Bonkers with the Drift and the Duomid pitched near Helm Crag

The sunrise produced a lovely red glow

The red glow turned orange

From a day walk from High Side. We did Bakestall via Barkbethdale and Broad End

Beefy with Southerndale and Ullock Pike in view

Beefy on the highest point on Bakestall

Lonscale Fell and Skiddaw House

On the way to Threlkeld, high above the Glenderaterra

From a day walk over Blencathra

On Scales Fell

Looking back at Scales Fell

Beefy on Blencathra summit

Looking back from the path to Blease Fell

Looking across to Gategill Fell from the bottom of Blease Fell

From a day walk up Dodd

Derwent Water from the ascent

Beefy on Dodd summit

The view without the slug on it  ;)

Only one wild camp in December last year, it was too cold for us two!

More lovely photos April, there'll be plenty of time to go camping when the weather gets warmer.
Over hill, over dale. Thorough brush, thorough brier....
I do wander every where

Is there any other hill whose summit is marked by a OS concrete ring, I can't think of one.
