With photobucket ruining many trip reports on the forum including my own, I have signed up with Flickr, but really have no idea how to use it. Iím probably missing something obvious, but is there a way of just inserting pics into a trip report rather than a link to your account?

It can look confusing to start with  O0

If you get what photo you wish to put in a TR from your "photostream", click on that photo then click the "share photo" icon on the bottom left. On the next pop up box, click on the "BBCode" option and choose your size, (I use medium 640 x 480) copy that link and .

Then, back to your TR. Paste the link from Flickr and I then delete all the info at the start and end of it so it just starts and finishes with the IMG brackets or you'll post links to your Flickr account as well, not just the image. Try it on this thread using the "preview" option. Below is one I copy/pasted from my account removing surplus info.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Bri, Iím trying to do it on my iPhone rather than my laptop so I wonder if thatís why Iím not getting it? I get an option to copy the url and thatís it from what I can see  O0

Copy the URL then, back in your trip report, click on the "Insert Image" button.  Paste your URL into there, click OK and it should magically appear in your post.

Well hopefully that came out ok, bit long winded and I did it using the laptop. For anyone interested it was taken on the path below Crimpiau near Capel Curig on boxing day.

Can't seem to do it on the phone Mel but worked on the laptop. Christine fell there a couple of years ago and her knee hasn't been right since so exorcised a few ghosts lol

It still gives her trouble but doesnít stop her getting out with me, mind you, trying to keep up with a one year old collie you soon forget any discomfort lol
