We have been chatting about this over on another forum.  They were planning a car meet there in a few weeks time?  That won't be happening.  I hope the owners can get something up and running for the summer.  But that does look a right old mess.

Sad news. Stopped there many times and walked a few nearby fells starting from there over the years. Hopefully will be rebuilt as I believe there has been something there most of the time since the 1930's.

A wonderful place for meeting up and one of my favourites as I did a hill climb championship up Hartside on a fixed wheel bike. The cafe will be a big miss. :-[

Yes a very sad loss, fingers crossed it gets rebuilt in the future. Hopefully it was a thriving business. :(
