A fine read about a fine walk Peter, and some beautiful photos - NW Highlands is God's Own Country.
Strange that the threatened storms never appeared (not sure that I would have camped quite so high with thunder forecast!)

I've walked in Torridon and Assynt on many occasions, but for some reason I've always overlooked the Fannichs - that may change soon as I'm planning a family camping/walking trip in late August; might even sneak in a night's wild camping, which will be a first as a family (Hmm - have to make some enquiries about deer stalking in the area).

And dogs - yes it is a problem keeping them well watered on a hot day, especially on a ridge.

PS - I do like to see maps in a trip report - means I don't have to reach for mine whilst I'm reading!
