Just registered for Macmillan cancer Big walk for charity.  26 miles and joined forum for help and suggestions.  Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't know what your walking experience is, or when and where your walk will be held, but my initial advice would be to get out there and do some decent long 10 -15 mile walks as training.

True grit will be needed. Unless you are already active  you'll need to build up for that walk.
Try and do some walking every day.

The grit is required when it's bleeding miserable outside but you still go out anyway
Too little, too late, too bad......
