Ooohhhhhh  :smitten:

Thank you all for indulging me my purpleyfied heather obsession.

rural roamer - never mind "it's past its best", that still looks like a mighty fine splodge of heather  O0

Jimbob - I thought there were duckboards round Midge Hall now?  Have they rotted away (it's a while since I've walked there)?

No. There are plenty of duck boards, it's the bit between the covered areas which were very bad. To be fair the weather has been truly dreadful recently and that is a really well trodden plodge.
Also there isn't the amount of blue among the ling as there usually is.

Fingers crossed.  My last two attempts to get my fix were thwarted by last minute family things.  They just don't understand that the purple wonderfulness doesn't last long.  ;D

Ahh, yes, the pointlessness of the intermittent duckboard  :D

Good point about the atrocious weather recently.  I shall take my bog-snorkelling gear ..

Were you practising on the Esk Valley Way near Egton this morning? Someone in the river with a wetsuit on. Never dreamt it might be you.

Took this one on Screel a couple of weeks back and forgot all about it,  the summit ridge was beheathered (is that a word) from end to end

Oooh.  More heathery loveliness, thank you  :)

A quick google of “beheathered” … nope, you just invented a new word  O0
