Perfect, I understand! I'll look into the Garmin Basecamp site ... I really appreciate your help.
I am open to correction but if you do not have a Garmin device you may have an issue getting the mapping.   The screenshot I used is from an open source.  Sussamb should be able to give you chapter and verse on how to do it.
As I said before, GoogleEarth is a viable alternative.  You can import and view multiple gps tracks but of course theye are superimposed on an aerial view rather than a map.

Sean, just remembered - there is a website called www.haroldstreet.org.uk  You can load your gps tracks into that and it will show you all of them.  It used to have an OS map option but that seems to have disapperared.  You can open an account for free and then save your files under your username.  It will also automatically log hills and trig points for each route.  The tracks are a bit hard to see on this screenshot.  They start off in blue but turn green if they are often downloaded.
